Friendship

Man is by nature a social animal; no one can live alone. We do not live for us alone. We live for each other. So without others I do not exist. Imagine that there was nothing and nobody, what would you be then? So everybody we know somehow affects our lives. I think the quality of our life depends much on the quality of our friendship with people around us.

To have a friend is one of the most wonderful experiences in life. Life would be so flat without Kalyana Mitta(noble/spiritual friends). We need a good friendship for our psychological development. There can be no real psychological maturity without good friendship. Friendship is the soil in which we grow psychologically. If the soil is of poor quality we do not grow well. If the soil is good we grow well, strong and mature.
How can we begin friendship?
I think first of all, you have to be interested in people; you have to see them as individuals, with their own worth and value. If you are interested in people, you want to know more about them, which means that you listen to them, observe them, and learn from them. I think that is how friendship begins.
Otherwise, if you are not interested in them, you do not notice what they are doing. Whatever they say or do makes no impression on you, and you learn nothing from them.
Let's try to build nice, happy surroundings with our friendships.Let's build bridges and break down walls.
